Fiji ultimately fell short in Bordeaux with the match ending at 34-21 in France’s favour, however it was a special day for Hoyt who entered the action off the bench in the 61st minute, replacing Mesake Doge.
Hoyt impressed when entering the fray, winning a late penalty for his scrum work against a fresh France pack, many of whom had recently entered the game themselves.
Worcester Warriors head coach Matt Everard was delighted for Hoyt to make his international debut, revealing he is not at all surprised to see the young frontrower playing at the elite level.
The coach has worked with Hoyt for a considerable amount of time now, coaching him at Leicester prior to the duo both heading to Sixways Stadium.
“I’m honestly over the moon,” Everard told Worcester News.
“I’ve worked with Tim across the last three, four years and again I genuinely mean this – the first time I saw Tim, I saw some real, raw, explosive power in this young man. A load of skill and ability.
“I’m absolutely the last person to be surprised to be seeing him playing international rugby.”
