A warning has been issued to drivers as traffic is expected to move at 10mph on major roads. From 8am on Sunday, March 1 an abnormal load will be moved through Merseyside.
Merseyside Police have said the transformer unit weighs more than 200 tonnes, and therefore it must follow a prescribed route. The force added it will be travelling at approximately 10mph throughout the journey.
A spokesperson the load is expected to take around four hours to move through the route and will be impacting major roads throughout Merseyside.
The route will be as follows; Crosby Road South, Derby Road, Leeds Street, New Islington, Low Hill, Edge Lane, Broad Green Road, Bowring Park Road, Chelwood Ave, Childwall Valley Road, Naylors Road, Wheathill Road, Tarbock Road, Cronton Road, Tarbock Island and the A5300 to Speke.
