It was a hard day’s night for Albion and their fans on the trek to Merseyside.
As well as a 2-0 defeat by Liverpool, train cancellations and a closure on the M1 ensured a tough trip for those who followed them to Anfield.
Their efforts to getthere and (hopefully) back are recognised here.
But there has been some positive news over the past week.
Our Monday podcast View From The Press Box is now a video offering and can be found via our Albion-dedicated Facebook page.
It features interviews and comment recorded in Liverpool, Lancing and – quite unexpectedly – 3am on Sunday in central London.
The main focus is clearly the 2-0 defeat at Anfield which saw the Seagulls miss chances and give away two soft goals.
Where does that run of one point from a possible nine leave Albion and how are their fans feeling in what seems to be an up-and-down season?
And do they have a tough act to follow after some of the heights which have been scaled in the recent past, both in terms of results and recruitment?
Via video content supplied by the Press Association, we hear from Fabian Hurzeler at Anfield.
We also spoke to under-21s head coach Shannon Ruth as his side take on European opposition.
Hear what he thought of Harry Howell’s first 90-minute appearance after recovering from the back injury which ruled him out of the Under-17s World Cup with England.
Meanwhile, there was also a date with the champions in the WSL and there were maybe mitigating circumstances as Albion went down to Chelsea.
View From The Press Box appears every Monday and gives news, opinion, some background and just a bit of a feel for the world of Albion – at all hours.
