Society Vietnam promotes blockchain adoption across key economic sectors Friday, 12:11, 29/08/2025 VOV.VN – Vietnam Blockchain Day 2025 opened in Da Nang City on August 29, aiming to promote its application across the country’s core economic sectors.
The event, co-hosted by the Da Nang People’s Committee and the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Policies and Strategies, brought together leading experts, developers, businesses, and investors in blockchain technology, to focus on accelerating digital transformation and digital economy development in Vietnam.
In his opening remarks, Pham Dai Duong, Deputy Head of the Commission for Policies and Strategies, emphasised that blockchain has become a foundational technology in the digital transformation era.
“Beyond building ‘digital trust,’ blockchain helps shape new standards in various sectors such as finance, healthcare, education, and national governance,” he said.
According to the official, Vietnam is demonstrating strong commitment to advancing national digital transformation. Adopting and developing new technologies, particularly blockchain, is seen as crucial in boosting competitiveness, improving transparency and governance efficiency, and enabling deeper integration into the global digital economy.
Vietnam has identified blockchain as one of 11 strategic technology sectors prioritised for investment, development, and mastery. With a young, tech-savvy workforce and a rapidly growing digital market, Vietnam is well-positioned to become a regional blockchain hub.
“Vietnam Blockchain Day 2025 serves as a platform for experts, developers, businesses, and investors to connect, exchange ideas, and promote the practical application of blockchain technology across key economic fields such as finance, healthcare, education, logistics, and public sector governance,” Duong said.
“It also aims to attract investment into Vietnam’s blockchain ecosystem, particularly in Da Nang, with a focus on startups and innovation-driven projects”, he elaborated.
The event features renowned speakers from Vietnam, Singapore, the UK, and other countries, sharing insights on emerging blockchain trends, asset tokenization, stablecoins, and digital asset markets.
As part of the festival, several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed to enhance cooperation and investment in blockchain-related initiatives.
