The public was invited to hear the engine run of a great piece of Canadian history on Jan. 16.
At the KF Centre for Excellence in Kelowna, a Mosquito bomber plane has been restored and her engines turned on to wow aviation enthusiasts in attendance.
The plane is one of more than 7,000 built to fight in the Second World War, but is one of an estiamted five worldwide that is still airworthy.
Kelowna MP and retired Royal Canadian Airforce Officer Stephen Fuhr climbed into the two-seater plane to turn on the two engines just after 1 p.m.
