Valour has launched the first exchange-traded product (ETP) tied to the Floki cryptocurrency, marking the token’s debut on a regulated European market.
The Valour Floki SEK ETP, now trading on Sweden’s Spotlight Stock Market, provides both retail and institutional investors with secure, regulated exposure to FLOKI without requiring direct ownership of the digital asset. It also represents the first ETP linked to a project built on the BNB Chain other than Binance’s own token.
Expanding Access to the Floki Ecosystem
Valour’s new product tracks FLOKI, the native token of the growing Floki ecosystem. FLOKI powers a range of blockchain-based applications, including payments, governance, staking, and access to decentralized finance (DeFi) services, as well as Valhalla, an NFT gaming metaverse, and University of Floki, an education platform for crypto users. The token is listed on several major exchanges, including Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, and Bitstamp.
The certificate, issued by Valour Inc., has no expiry date and carries a management fee of 1.9%. It trades in Swedish kronor at a current price of 16.33 SEK and is available through major brokerage platforms, including Avanza, Nordnet, comdirect, ING, Scalable Capital, Degiro, and justTRADE. The current assets under management total approximately 100,000 SEK.
Valour noted that its ETP products are fully hedged by underlying digital assets, with custody handled by licensed institutions, including Copper. The company’s base prospectuses are approved by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority, ensuring compliance with EU transparency and investor protection standards.
The launch supports Floki’s broader mission to expand mainstream access to its ecosystem. Developers say that regulated investment vehicles, such as the Valour Floki SEK, will help bring FLOKI to a broader audience of investors while reinforcing confidence in the token’s long-term utility.
Why It Matters for Us Investors
Although the Valour Floki SEK ETP is currently limited to European markets, it reflects a growing trend that U.S. investors are watching closely. Similar to how Bitcoin and Ethereum ETPs gained early traction overseas before earning regulatory approval in America, this launch could pave the way for future Floki-linked products in the U.S.
