Uniswap, one of the largest decentralized exchanges, has added Solana to its web app. This means users can now connect a Solana wallet and trade Solana-based tokens directly on Uniswap, alongside Ethereum and more than 13 other networks.
The move, announced in a recent blog post, marks a major step for Uniswap’s goal to become a single access point for decentralized finance (DeFi). Until now, users had to switch between apps to trade Solana tokens. With the new integration, everything can happen in one place.
Why Solana Matters
Solana is one of the fastest-growing blockchains, with more than $11.4 billion in total value locked across its DeFi platforms. But until recently, it existed in a separate ecosystem from Ethereum. That made things harder for users. They needed different wallets, interfaces, and tools to manage their assets.
By adding Solana support, Uniswap is helping to reduce that friction. Users can now swap tokens across both ecosystems with fewer steps, creating a smoother experience for traders and newcomers alike.
Uniswap says this update makes its web app a trusted hub for all DeFi activity, no matter the blockchain.
Powered by Jupiter’s Ultra API
The integration runs on Jupiter’s Ultra API, a leading liquidity aggregator for Solana. This connection allows Uniswap users to access over a million Solana tokens directly through the app.
To start, users simply connect a Solana-compatible wallet, select “Solana” as their network, and begin swapping.
This launch is only phase one. Uniswap plans to expand Solana support further, including bridging, cross-chain swaps, and full integration within the Uniswap Wallet.
