On October 24th, the Uniswap Foundation made an announcement that it would provide a grant of up to $9 million to Brevis. The purpose of this grant is to build a trustless Gas Rebate scheme for a DEX aggregator that integrates Uniswap v4 Hooked pools. It is reported that this system will utilize Brevis’s ZK Data Coprocessor and Pico zkVM technology to perform rebate computation and cryptographic validation off-chain. This ensures that the rebate process is fully verifiable and does not require centralized tracking. This mechanism is designed to incentivize routers to give priority to integrating the Hook feature. By doing so, it can accelerate the application and expansion of the Uniswap v4 ecosystem while maintaining the trustless properties of DeFi.
