Now the damp, cold weather has arrived, you’ve probably noticed condensation forming around your house again.
If not managed properly, it can result in mould growing in the likes of bedrooms and bathrooms.
But for those desperate to find a hack that “really works”, Mrs Hinch fans have uncovered a £1 hanging moisture trap that absorbs condensation and stops damp anywhere in the house.
These trusty bags which soak up access water can currently be bought from B&M for just £1 (Fabulosa Hanging Wardrobe Dehumidifier in Fresh Linen, Wild Rhubarb and Electrify).
Some households who have just started using them have said they “can’t believe” how much water they collect.
It comes as someone on Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook page raved over their recent discovery, as this person wrote in a post: “I have started putting wardrobe traps in my clothes airer and I am amazed how much water goes in them.”
The post was accompanied by a picture of a moisture trap hanging on a clothes airer full of water.
One account took to the comments: “I’ve just started using these in my wardrobe, can’t believe how much moisture they suck up.”
Another agreed: “I also use these all the time they are brilliant home bargains 6 for £2.99 last quite long time cheaper than Amazon.”
A third shared: “I got some on Tesco 2 for £2. Hung them on curtain pole in bedroom a week ago and already quite a bit in there.”
This account put: “I use these in each of my wardrobes and need to change them every 3-4 weeks They are brilliant. Good to see other uses for them too.”
“I have used these for years now I change them regularly. I can’t believe how much water they collect,” commented one profile.
A Mrs Hinch follower said: “I hang these bags amongst wet washing after I have washed & double spun it. Also, on the over the bath airer, radiator drying racks & over the door racks. Been doing so for years. It really works & contains condensation.”
