Archax, the UK regulated digital asset exchange, broker and custodian, has formed a strategic partnership with the Stellar Development Foundation (SDF), which supports the Stellar blockchain network.
As part of the deal, Stellar has made a direct investment into Archax Group.
Archax operates as a regulated digital exchange with a focus on tokenisation and custody, offering institutions the infrastructure to bridge into blockchain-based financial markets.
It has already made significant progress on Stellar’s network, including tokenising an Aberdeen Money Market Fund and integrating Stellar into its tokenisation platform. This connection is set to allow more financial institutions to bring tokenised real-world assets (RWAs) onto the Stellar blockchain.
The firm has also been developing new use cases in partnership with major institutions. In one project, Archax worked with Lloyds Bank and Aberdeen Asset Management to accept tokenised money-market funds as collateral for foreign exchange trades on its Archax Nest collateral transfer network.
