The UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre) has announced a nationwide New Year celebratory event for workers on December 31, 2025, and January 1, 2026.

The initiative, “together, we welcome the New Year,” is scheduled at more than 30 locations across the UAE. The celebrations will feature sports and entertainment activities, competitions, and gift distributions, contributing to workers’ happiness and supporting their social integration.

The UAE is gearing up for a spectacular New Year celebration, making sure that workers who help build the nation are included. Authorities are focusing on inclusivity by involving workers in the festivities. With events planned across the country, this initiative shows the UAE’s ongoing commitment to public holidays that blend fun, recognition, and community involvement, while highlighting the important role workers play in the country’s growth and society.

The Ministry invited private sector companies and labour accommodations to register their participation on the official MoHRE website and select events that fit their schedules and locations.

In the previous New Year celebrations held on January 1, 2025, MoHRE organised events at 18 locations across the UAE. During Eid al Fitr 2025 worker celebrations, held at 10 locations nationwide with sports and entertainment as well as raffle draws, several workers won major prizes. A notable winner was Rubel Ahmed Samsad Ali, a 24-year-old painter earning Dh800 per month, who won a brand-new car and stated his intention to sell the vehicle to build a home and support his family.

At the Eid al Adha 2025 events, workers also claimed prizes in raffle draws. One standout winner was Mukesh Paswan, a Nepali worker who won a new Mitsubishi car at a Jebel Ali celebration; he expressed hopes of using the proceeds to support his children’s future.
