What happens when a pair of twin attorneys put their minds together and help a woman win a gun case?
That’s where The Shealey Law Firm comes in. Recently, brothers Luke and Brian Shealey helped one of their clients win what many people believed to be an open and shut case in Richland County involving pointing and presenting a firearm charge.
The defendant, a 53-year-old Irmo woman, was charged following an incident back on Nov. 22. 2022. According to reports, the woman, who also has a state concealed carry permit, allegedly pointed a gun at her neighbor’s dog following an argument about a parked car blocking her ability to use her driveway.
The woman, according to the law firm, had been attacked by a dog years before and was moving to protect herself. On top of that, the firm’s attorneys say, the neighbor had admitted to purposefully parking his car in front of the driveway.
But the twin attorneys took their case a step further, calling the Richland County Sheriff’s Department’s investigation into question. As a result of their work, the woman walked away with an acquittal.
