İSKİ (Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration)’s “SmartWater360” project demonstrated how advanced technologies like artificial intelligence, IoT, and robotic process automation can be effectively used in water management. Innovations like digital invoices, e-Branches, and biometric signatures provide fast and secure service to citizens. Smart meters and AI-enabled systems allow for water consumption predictions and much quicker response to malfunctions. This has reduced malfunction response time from 24 hours to just five, and significantly increased data transfer and processing speeds.
“DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AT İSKİ”
Tayfun İşbilen, Head of İSKİ Information Technology Department, emphasized that digital transformation is not just a technology investment but also a vision, and said:
With the steps we’ve taken over the last five years, we’ve transformed İSKİ into not only an infrastructure institution but also a technology institution. Now, we’re taking this journey even further. Technology can transform anything our imagination defines into reality. We’re just at the beginning of the journey. The full integration of digital transformation into our lives will bring numerous benefits, such as instant access to needed skills, combating climate change, and increasing technological awareness and cultural awareness. This will directly contribute to increased social welfare. Making it to the finals of Gartner’s awards has been a powerful motivation for us to further advance this vision. I believe we will win first place in the finals.
