The Trump Organization and Dar Global have announced a landmark partnership to develop the Trump International Hotel Maldives, introducing the world’s first tokenized hotel development project. Revealed on November 17, 2025, the collaboration marks a groundbreaking moment for both global real estate and blockchain-powered investment models.
Positioned just 25 minutes by speedboat from Malé, the upcoming resort will feature roughly 80 ultra-luxury beach and overwater villas, crafted for high-net-worth travelers seeking absolute privacy, exclusivity, and architectural sophistication. The project is scheduled to open by late 2028.
Unlike traditional real estate tokenization, which typically applies to completed properties, this initiative tokenizes the development phase itself, giving investors the chance to participate from inception. This structure provides early access to a premium hospitality project, aligned with one of the world’s most recognizable luxury brands.
The tokenization component, backed by blockchain technology, is designed to increase accessibility, provide transparent ownership records, and expand the investor pool beyond traditional real estate channels. Dar Global (LSE: DAR), the luxury development arm of Saudi Arabia’s Dar Al Arkan, has previously partnered with the Trump Organization on major Middle Eastern projects. This Maldives venture marks their most ambitious collaboration to date, both in scale and technological innovation.
