
Tributes have been paid to a woman who died after a Jaguar ploughed into her home in Coventry. She sustained serious injuries in the incident on Lentons Lane.
Police were called to the junction of Shilton Lane and Lentons Lane at around 5pm on Thursday (July 18). A Jaguar had been involved in a collision with a Volkswagen before smashing into a property, West Midlands Police said.
A 78-year-old woman, who has not been identified, was found badly injured and rushed to University Hospital Coventry. She later died from her injuries.

Tributes have poured in for the elderly woman who died on Thursday. Kim Wainwright said: “So very sad. Thoughts with her family at such a sad time.”
Linda Anslow commented: “One would think you were safe in your own home! Sending heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.”
Lynne Reed said, “Condolences to the family and friends of the lady.” Karen Bickerstaffe commented: “So sad! Heart goes out to her family.”
Sam Beckham said: “She is sitting in her own home, minding her own business, and is the one to lose her life. Awful.”
Police said the Jaguar and VW drivers remained at the scene of the incident and were spoken to but not arrested. Officers are working to establish the manner in which they were driving when the collision happened.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses following the death of a woman after a car hit her house in Coventry. We would appeal for anyone with dashcam, CCTV, or other information from the scene at around the time to get in touch with us via 101, quoting log 4184 of July 18.”
