William Trevor Lawrence was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, on October 6, 1999. He was a standout quarterback at Cartersville High School in Cartersville, Georgia.
Lawrence’s high school football career
In 2016, his junior year, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution named him its all-classification player of the year with a 61.6% passing completion rate, throwing for 3,904 yards and 51 touchdowns. He was picked as the 2017-18 Gatorade Georgia Football Player of the Year, in recognition of his athletic and academic achievements, according to the Georgia High School Association. Among his accomplishments as a Jaguar, Lawrence ranks fourth in franchise history in passing yards (13,815), pass completions (1,288), and touchdown passes (69), according to his Jaguars bio.
