Face mask Never forget the lessons learnt in the pandemic. Someone, somewhere, will be sneezing.
Compression socks They improve blood circulation in your legs by applying graduated pressure — they are tighter at the ankle and looser at the top. This helps push blood back up towards the heart, to reduce swelling and the risk of blood clots, particularly in the lower legs.
Socks I carry a pair to go over my good socks. Keeps the feet warm. Keeps the good socks clean. (PS Always put your shoes back on when you use the rest room!)
Spare spectacles Don’t risk being without your essential glasses.
Pill holder If you need medication, make sure it is well organised and easy to access.
