The TOKEN2049 Dubai edition, one of the crypto industry’s largest gatherings, has been postponed until 2027 due to regional uncertainty affecting international travel and event planning.
Organizers announced Friday that the conference, originally scheduled for April 29–30 in Dubai, will now take place on April 21–22, 2027.
In their statement, organizers said preparations for the 2026 event had been moving forward, but they ultimately decided to delay the conference to preserve the scale and quality expected from the gathering and to ensure attendees can participate safely.
The decision represents a reversal from earlier in the week, when a spokesperson for TOKEN2049 told Fortune that preparations were continuing and that registrations were on track for a sold-out event.

Regional tensions disrupt travel across the Middle East
Travel across the United Arab Emirates has been disrupted by regional airspace restrictions following the outbreak of the US–Israel war on Iran on Feb. 28.
According to Gulf News, several major airlines — including Emirates, Etihad Airways, flydubai, and Air Arabia — were operating reduced or modified flight schedules on Friday.
Airlines advised passengers to travel only if they held confirmed bookings, as the evolving situation continued to affect regional flight operations.
