Just a few years ago, not many watch enthusiasts had heard of Micromilspec.
The Norwegian brand was established in 2019 as a boutique producer of custom watches for elite military units and first responders. Just days after its founding, Micromilspec secured its first military contract to create a pilot’s watch for the Royal Norwegian Air Force’s Search and Rescue Squadron, and since then has created dozens of custom unit watches for various militaries around the globe, from France to the U.S.
Most of this work is done firmly out of public view, with the bulk of the brand’s watches being reserved for these custom military orders. But last year, Micromilspec made a big splash in the enthusiast community when it released the Milgraph.
Using information gleaned from over 40 custom military projects, the Milgraph was originally intended for special forces and was built to be the ultimate military tool watch. But unlike most other Micromilspec watches, it’s available to the public.
The original Milgraph, with its sandblasted titanium case, integrated rubber strap, matte-black grain-textured dial and orange-tipped GMT hand, drew visual comparisons to the legendary Vacheron Constantin Overseas Everest Editions from 2021 — two of the most desirable tool watches ever made. As a result, it became something of a viral hit in the watch community and firmly put Micromislpec on the map as a brand to watch (no pun intended).
Now, Micromilspec has launched a new version of the Milgraph — and it looks even better than before.
