It remains unclear whether Dennis Porter’s claims are factual or plain engagement farming. However, the comment triggered a flurry of reactions from industry voices.

While the deal is effective starting September 22, MNT token price is down by over 2% in the last 24 hours. As of this writing, it was trading for $1.62.
Another crypto news to watch this week is Plasma’s mainnet and token launch, due on Thursday, September 25.
In an official blog, Plasma said its mainnet beta will go live alongside the launch of its native token, XPL, as the 8th largest blockchain by stablecoin liquidity.
Based on the report, $2 billion in stablecoins will be active on Plasma from inception. Further, it wuld deploy capital across 100+ DeFi partners, including Aave, Ethena, Fluid, and Euler.

On July 28, DeFi App kicked off the second season of the Kaito AI Leaderboard. The network then dropped 100 million HOME tokens for a 60-day Kaito campaign.

Notably, the Upgrade Penalty does not apply to anyone who upgraded before September 22, 2025.
