Kelly Clarkson Reunites Willie Geist With His 6th Grade Teacher
Kelly Clarkson has announced the current season of her daytime talk show will be its last.
On Feb. 2, the singer and host posted a statement on her Instagram confirming that “The Kelly Clarkson Show” will end after seven seasons.
“I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at (‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’), both in Los Angeles and New York,” she began. “There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons. I am forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for, all the talent and inspiring people who have shared their time and lives with us, all the fans who have supported our show, and to NBC for always being such a supportive and incredible partner.”
She went on to say that the crew she has worked with makes it difficult for her to move on from the show.
“Because of all that, this was not an easy decision — but this season will be my last hosting TKCS,” she continued. “Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives.”
Clarkson shared 11-year-old daughter River Rose and 9-year-old son Remy with her late ex-husband Brandon Blackson. In August 2025, Blackson’s family shared in a statement that he died at the age of 48 following a three-year battle with cancer.
Although “The Kelly Clarkson Show” is concluding, Clarkson wanted her fans to know that she isn’t saying goodbye.
“I’ll still be making music, playing shows here and there, and you may catch me on ‘The Voice’ from time to time’…you never know where I might show up next,” she assured them.
At the end of her statement, she added, “But for now, I want to thank y’all so much for allowing our show to be a part of your lives, and for believing in us and hanging with us for seven incredible years.”
New episodes of Season 7 will continue to air through fall 2026, the show confirmed in a press release. The show’s staff and crew were informed about the talk show ending the same day Clarkson shared the news with her viewers.
“The Kelly Clarkson Show” arrived in 2019 and allowed the Grammy winner to show off her interviewing skills and her impressive vocals at the same time, with her interviews and her “Kellyoke” performances going viral. The show earned 24 Daytime Emmy Awards during its run.
