After going viral over the summer for getting caught canoodling with her boss at a Coldplay concert, Kristin Cabot is now giving interviews…which I find to be a bold choice. If I was her, I’d still be hiding under a rock somewhere — but not Kristin. She’s out answering questions and airing her grievances. The best part is, you’ll never guess who she is mad at after the debacle.
The Daily Wire reports:
The former HR exec gave multiple interviews this week and went over some details about the event and aftermath. Cabot was shocked at the level of public outrage over her alleged infidelity, and seemed especially offended that Paltrow joined in the fray.
“I was such a fan of her company [Goop], which seemed to be about uplifting women,” Cabot told The Times U.K. “And then she did this. I thought, ‘How dare she after the beating she got for all the conscious uncoupling stuff.’ What a hypocrite.”
Cabot said she got rid of all her Goop products as a form of protest.
That may be the most suburban woman-coded form of protest I’ve ever heard of.
Kristin can just continue being mad. The Astronomer ad starring Gwyneth Paltrow was the funniest form of PR crisis management I’ve ever witnessed. It will be studied in PR classes for years to come. And for that, we thank Ms. Cabot for her contribution.
Now, for old times’ sake, let’s watch that masterpiece again.
