
Tennessee running back Peyton Lewis plans to enter the transfer portal, he shared on his Instagram.
The transfer portal opens on Jan. 2.
Lewis has been in the backfield rotation for two seasons at Tennessee, rushing for 629 yards and 10 touchdowns in 23 games.
In 2024, Lewis rushed for 339 yards and three TDs as a backup to SEC Offensive Player of the Year Dylan Sampson. In 2025, he rushed for 290 yards and seven TDs while sharing carries with starter DeSean Bishop and Duke transfer Star Thomas.
Lewis also caught eight passes and had 13 kick returns for 279 yards over two seasons.
Lewis is a 6-foot-1, 212-pounder from Salem, Virginia. He was a four-star recruit in the 2024 class. And he has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
