A cafe on one of North Wales’s best known beaches is to close this weekend. Braf was opened at Dinas Dinlle near Caernarfon in 2021 by friends Anwen Haf and Cadi Fon.
As well as running a cafe they organised bootcamps and dance sessions as well as putting on supper clubs and weddings – becoming an important part of the community.
But they have now announced the site will close on Sunday.
In a statement, they said: “After much reflection, we have made the difficult decision to close our doors here in Dinas Dinlle.

They added: “Running a small business like this has been crazy. From the first wild days in the ‘Shac’ selling amazing Coffee @poblado and Ice Cream @glasu during the day, to painting and filling a wheelbarrow at night to open the cafe in time – before baking until the wee hours of the next day, a whirlwind.
“All made possible with a lot of adrenaline and lots of kind words and support during this time.”
They thanked their “amazing friends and family, and dear neighbours who came with kind words and endless help”.
The statement added: “A four year journey that has flown by, culminating in a local, tasty and healthy business that celebrates its Welshness and its community, local suppliers and the endless talent in its square mile.
“This little dream grew so quickly, and to be honest we could talk forever about the people who nurtured Braf, supported Braf, and helped it be what Braf is today. Thank you for being part of our story.
“Our last day will be Sunday 21st December. Please, please come in droves to say goodbye to us here. We would be very happy to see you and share many memories.
“Again, endless thanks for the support. Although this chapter is coming to an end, the memories and connections will stay with us forever.
“Thank you for being part of our story. A new beginning is ahead of us. Diolch.”
