FAIRFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) – A Midlands man is facing charges after allegedly running over victims in Fairfield County over the weekend.
The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office said 32-year-old Rosmann Justilien, of Sumter, is charged with murder and attempted murder.
Authorities said Justilien’s charges are linked to an incident Sunday night at the Molly Creek Boat Landing. Fairfield County deputies responded to the scene and reported finding two victims in the parking area who had been hit by a vehicle.
The sheriff’s office said preliminary interviews led deputies to believe the two victims had been run over on purpose “in a fit of rage.”
Justilien was later identified as a suspect, with deputies saying the incident stemmed from a verbal altercation that turned physical. Justilien is then accused of getting into a Cadillac Escalade and driving toward the victims and hitting them while also dragging them before coming to a stop. He also allegedly circled the parking lot and came back to the area before crashing into a parking stop.
Both victims were taken to a hospital, where one of them ultimately succumbed to their injuries. Fairfield County Coroner Chris Hill later identified the victim who died as 28-year-old Kelvorius Epperson, of Sumter.
