Fleur East paused Strictly Come Dancing spin-off It Takes Two for an ‘exclusive news’ announcement about the series’ immediate future.
Former X Factor singer Fleur, 37, and Janette Manrara, 41, returned with their BBC series on Monday (September 29), following the first live show of Strictly’s 2025 series last Saturday (September 27)
Bringing viewers exclusive interviews from the 15 contestants taking part and their professional dance partners, as well as backstage gossip, the spin-off series airs five nights a week on BBC One.
On Friday (October 3), Fleur was on presenting duties as she was joined by EastEnders actress Balvinder Sopal, 46, drag queen La Voix, 45, and their pro partners Julian Callion, 30, and Aljaz Skorjanec, 35.
Prior to interviewing the contestants, Fleur was joined by The Traitors’ Minah Shannon, Radio 2 presenter Owain Wyn Evans and Tasha Ghouri.
Former Love Island contestant Tasha, 27, reached the final of Strictly last year with Aljaz in a series which was won by 48-year-old comedian Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell, 36.
Prior to discussing the contestant’s progress with the show’s panel, Fleur revealed that Tasha is joining the programme moving forward.
“She was the highest scoring contestant last series and she’s back to make her mark, it’s Tasha Gouri.
“Before we look at the ballroom footage from earlier today, we have some exciting exclusive news. This series, Tasha will be joining us as our roaming reporter. It’s so nice to have you as part of the family,” she said.
Expressing her joy, Tasha replied: “I’m so excited to be part of the team. I can’t wait to get all the goss behind the scenes. I can’t wait.”
Meanwhile, Tasha provided lots of praise for fellow Love Islander Amber Davies, 28, who replaced Dani Dyer, 29, just days before the first live show after she fractured her ankle in training with Nikita Kuzmin, 27.
“I think they are such a great pairing, she came and did the Waltz, learned it in under 24 hours. I mean that standard of the Waltz was amazing.
“I’m excited to see the Samba, it’s really about letting go. I felt silly doing it, you have to let go and just got for it. You can see she’s having an amazing time, she’s got a smile on her face.
“She’s just starting her partnership with Nikita, everyone has had that head start, I’m really excited to see the journey they go on. It seems like they’ve got it,” she said.
