Karen Carney has been announced as the 2025 winner of Strictly Come Dancing. The retired footballer was partnered with Carlos Gu on this series of the BBC show.
Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman confirmed they were the Glitterball winners after a closely fought final against Amber Davies and George Clarke. Reacting to the win, Karen said: “I cannot believe it. I just want to say thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey.
“I wanted to say thank you to this wonderful gentleman. We are a team and I couldn’t have done this without you. It’s been the biggest privilege and honour. I am literally lost for words. I am so sorry.”
Carlos thanked the professional as he said: “Thank you Karen Carney. I love you. Thank you for being so incredible this whole journey. You have taught me so much. Thank you for changing my life.
