
A suspected stolen car crashed on a main road in Liverpool. Emergency services were called to Mather Avenue in Allerton at around 10.55pm on Tuesday, October 21.
It followed a report of a crash involving a Ford Fiesta and a Volkswagen Golf. Merseyside Police said that they believe the Fiesta was stolen in Liverpool earlier on Tuesday evening and enquiries continue. There were no reports of injuries. It is understood that Woolton Road near Mather Avenue was closed in both directions for a period of time, however it has since reopened.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: At around 10.55pm last night, Tuesday, October 21, officers attended a two-car collision on Mather Avenue in Allerton involving a Ford Fiesta and a Volkswagen Golf.
“No reports of any injuries It is believed the Fiesta was stolen in Liverpool earlier in the evening. Enquiries remain ongoing.”
