The Indian stock markets will observe multiple closures in 2026, as the BSE and NSE have officially released the trading holiday schedule for the year. The announced holidays apply to the Capital Market segment and have been issued in line with the applicable bye-laws and regulatory provisions governing market operations.According to the notification, trading in equities, equity derivatives, and securities lending and borrowing (SLB) will be suspended on designated holidays to mark national events, religious festivals and important regional observances. Market participants, including investors, traders and intermediaries, are advised to take note of these dates while planning their investment and trading strategies for the year.
