Is Daredevil making an appearance in Spider-Man: Brand New Day? The latest rumor suggests that a crossover may be brewing in the near future.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day seems to be crossing off every checklist that fans have had for Tom Holland’s tenure as the web-slinger. A street-level story? Check. A crossover with the Punisher? Check. A fight against angry Hulk? Double check. However, there does seem to be one thing that fans have been begging for that will be noticeably absent from this movie: Daredevil.
Fans have been wanting to see Spider-Man and Daredevil interact on the silver screen for literal decades. And with the crossover teased in No Way Home, fans thought that it was a shoe-in to happen during the events of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. However, as the rumor mill for the movie grew more and more refined, the chances that Daredevil would actually appear in the film became slim-to-none.
Though just because there wasn’t any rumor about Daredevil appearing doesn’t mean that it’s certain he won’t appear. That is, until now (at least, if one scooper can be believed). The latest report from Alex Perez at The Cosmic Circus revealed that an official crossover with Daredevil will be saved for a future installment- and one with more heroes to boot!
If this rumor is true, it’s likely that Spider-Man: Brand More Day will be laying the ground work for some sort of Defenders debut on the big screen, with Marvel’s street level heroes all teaming up with Spider-Man to take down a threat (Likely, Kingpin). Though given the first film in Tom Holland’s last trilogy isn’t due out for nearly a year, it’ll likely be some time before these plans come to light.
