Spellow Lane in Everton is cordoned off after a Range Rover smashed into a lamppost near Goodison Park. Merseyside Police were called at around 12.40am with reports a Land Range Rover had crashed into a lamppost at the junction on Walton Lane and Spellow Lane in Everton.
The driver of the Range Rover has been checked by paramedics at the scene and a road closure is in place while emergency services remove the vehicle. Photos of the scene show a large are cordoned off near the former Everton football ground.
