It was on August 17 when she sustained the injury that forced her away from WNBA action and even required surgery to repair the damage suffered during a game against the Connecticut Sun.
Yet this is not the only complicated situation Sophie Cunningham is facing, as she is also entering unrestricted free agency for the first time in her career and still has no clarity about where her future lies. The player has expressed interest in continuing to play alongside Caitlin Clark with the Fever, but her wishes alone do not dictate the outcome; many other factors are involved.
