Rex Shares submitted a letter to the SEC on Friday, seeking clarification on whether previous comments regarding its ’40 Act Solana Staking ETF have been addressed. The move appears to be a strategic effort to bring the fund to market ahead of any spot Solana ETFs.
Andrea Magovern, Assistant Director of the SEC’s Division of Investment Management, responded to REX, confirming that the staff had no further comments, signalling that the Solana Staking ETF is effectively cleared for approval and ready for launch.
REX Shares has also released a “Coming Soon” ad, further confirming an imminent approval and launch.
The key question now is whether the REX-Osprey Solana Staking ETF will be approved in tandem with the spot Solana ETFs, or if it will beat them to market with a first-mover edge.
The Solana price is expected to receive a significant boost from ETFs, with JPMorgan analysts projecting $3 billion to $6 billion in the first 6 to 12 months.
