LIVERPOOL, England, Jan 28 (Reuters) – Liverpool cruised to a 6-0 victory over Azerbaijan’s Qarabag on Wednesday to secure their automatic place in the last 16 of the Champions League and give the club a lift after their poor run of domestic form in the defence of their Premier League title.
KUALA LUMPUR : Allocation for the Indian Community Entrepreneur Financing Scheme has been increased from RM30mil to RM50mil this year, says Steven Sim . The Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development Minister said the move is aimed at strengthening support for the Indian community’s business ecosystem.
He said the additional funding reflects the government’s commitment to expand access to capital in line with the ministry’s ABCD strategy. As of 2026, Spumi has channelled RM4.089mil to 136 entrepreneurs among the Indian community nationwide. “Through this initiative, the ministry remains committed to providing broader access to capital in line with the ABCD strategy that we have introduced,” he said at a press conference at the Parliament Media Centre yesterday, Bernama reported. Meanwhile, Sim said the ministry will mobilise 200 Wira Kuskop volunteers in George Town, Penang, for its Madani programme to be held in conjunction with Thaipusam on Feb 1. He added that the volunteers, comprising youths aged between 17 and 30 from various racial backgrounds, will assist with crowd management and provide support to those in need.
