Senator Dave McCormick, a Republican from Pennsylvania who serves on the Senate Banking Committee’s digital assets subcommittee, on Thursday disclosed fresh purchases of the Bitwise Bitcoin ETF valued somewhere between $65,002 and $150,000.
McCormick made one purchase on Nov. 24 and a second the following day, according to a periodic transaction report. The Bitwise Bitcoin ETF, managed by Bitwise Asset Management, provides exposure to Bitcoin through traditional financial markets.
McCormick’s investment comes as he focuses on cryptocurrency-related policy through his role on the Banking Committee’s digital assets subcommittee.
The disclosure reflects continued engagement by US politicians in crypto markets amid ongoing policy discussions around digital assets regulation.
