Semler Scientific also announced that it plans to hold 10,000 bitcoins by year-end 2025, 42,000 by year-end 2026 and 105,000 by year-end 2027, using proceeds from equity and debt financings and cash flows from operations.
Eric Semler, chairman of Semler Scientific, emphasized the company’s impressive performance since embracing its bitcoin strategy: “Since adopting the bitcoin standard, we’ve realized an approximate 287% BTC yield and a $177 million gain in bitcoin value as of June 3, 2025. With a solid team and deepening ties to the Bitcoin community, we’re well-positioned to ramp up our bitcoin accumulation efforts.”
Joe Burnett, now heading the firm’s bitcoin strategy, pointed to the broader momentum across the industry:
We are witnessing the global monetization of bitcoin as a superior form of money.
Burnett noted that as the second U.S. public company to adopt the bitcoin standard, Semler Scientific remains firmly dedicated to expanding its bitcoin reserves in a way that aligns with shareholder interests—guided by the conviction that bitcoin is the ultimate long-term asset.
Chairman Eric Semler expressed enthusiasm about Burnett’s addition to the team, stating: “We’re thrilled to welcome Joe to our Bitcoin strategy team as we advance our three-year goal of acquiring 105,000 bitcoins.
