Cameron Barsanti, a self-storage owner and investor, will be featured in the upcoming season of “Legacy Makers TV,” a docuseries that spotlights entrepreneurs and change-makers by capturing their personal and professional journey. Barsanti will share his journey from unemployed actor to real estate entrepreneur, having acquired more than $66 million in self-storage assets across eight U.S. states and Guam.
Following a decade of setbacks and earning minimal TV and film residual checks, Barsanti pivoted his career at age 35 with the support of his wife. “We had zero savings in the bank, so we pulled $90,000 out of our house and bought an off-market triplex,” he said in an interview. “That led us to an 11-unit apartment building, and eventually to finding a bank-owned self-storage facility. That’s when everything changed.”
Within four and a half years, the couple acquired 17 self-storage assets across multiple states. Since then, they’ve sold six, achieving multi-million dollar returns while building a team of more than 15 employees.
Barsanti also launched StorageLife, an investor community that offers coaching and mentoring to help interested parties find and acquire self-storage facilities. He’s a contributor to Inside Self-Storage (ISS) Magazine and website and has been a presenter at the annual ISS World Expo in Las Vegas.
