Imagine being surrounded by smiling, giggling kids of all ages, playing with others, and watching the fun memories being created. Now imagine watching your own children growing up, being a part of making those memories happen. My life has been filled with so much joy and fun watching the magic we can help others give to so many children.
We have turned this joy into a business that creates memories that will last a lifetime! It all started in 2006, when my oldest daughter was 12 years old. We started the business with games and activities that I grew up with (tug of war, ring toss, gunnie sack races, candy claw games). My daughter would do face painting, and I would do balloon animals. Two years later we added a bounce house.
Through time, my other children started being a part of the business as we added the Double Slide, the Foam Pit, Dunk Tank, Obstacle Course, Strikers, Money Machine, another Bounce House and Photo Booth.
We became a part of the community in such a fun way! We were providing memories through community events with the schools, churches, private parties, family reunions, school reunions, special events, graduation parties, weddings, fund raisers, etc… The local events with ScienceFest, ChamberFest, County Fair, Gordon/Summer Concerts and Senior Appreciation Night – made us a staple in the community!
Through this business, my own children have learned to love children, work hard, learn business smarts with customers, money management, communication, and being dependable while becoming assistant managers. They continue to show these skills as they have grown up and moved on to pursue their own desires.
And with them growing up, we have decided to sell the business and give someone else the opportunity to share their love of the community by providing joy and happiness to everyone, with job opportunities to our local community – probably some of them growing up with these memories! The business comes all wrapped up in a trailer, ready to go, with clientele waiting to schedule their yearly activities and more!
While it’s been a seasonal and weekend adventure for my family, there is so much more opportunity to grow and expand. Let me walk you through how to successfully continue this business! Serious inquiries can contact me at [email protected]. The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) has been a wonderful source to help me with this transition phasing out and can help the new owner with their transition phasing in to start successfully. You can reach out to them as well for questions to get started at [email protected], Janice Krish.
Thank you, Los Alamos/White Rock for the fun cherished memories we’ve had of the 17 years we were able to play, serve you and love your families!!
