A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “Officers in Coventry have recovered a sizeable amount of Class A drugs in the city. Drug dealing and drug usage are a blight on the community, and our North East neighbourhood team is continuing its work to tackle the issue.
“Criminal gangs often exploit vulnerable people, including children, to transport and sell drugs on their behalf. Our officers often rely on the information they receive from the public, telling us where and when this kind of activity is happening.
“Information helps plan our operations and patrols in problem areas and helps safeguard people who would otherwise fall prey to gangs. Drug dealing and drug use have a knock-on impact where it happens, with crime and antisocial behaviour coming along with it. If you suspect this is happening where you live, let us know via 101 or our website.”
