The SBC Summit 2025 in Lisbon will feature a Web 3.0 & Blockchain Academy on 17 September, giving delegates hands-on training in decentralised technologies.
The academy, part of SBC’s Tech Academies programme, includes panels, workshops, and live Q&A sessions with Web3 founders, developers, and business leaders.
The academy will open with the panel Web 3.0 & Blockchain in Context, featuring Borget Sebastien from The Sandbox and Jordi Baylina from ZisK, moderated by Eddie Marques of Web3 District. This will be followed by a live AMA with Gary Vaynerchuk, titled NFTs, Crypto & Blockchain: Beyond The Buzz, where he will address common misconceptions and discuss practical applications of NFTs, crypto, and esports.
Delegates can also attend several hands-on workshops, including The Ultimate Digital You with Ingo Ruebe of KILT Protocol, focusing on digital identity and data protection; Real Money = Real Traffic with Ahmed Al Balaghi of Biconomy, which explores strategies to combat fake engagement; and Really Smart Contracts with Jason Meyers of AuditChain, examining compliance, automation, and the practical uses of smart contracts.
SBC CEO Rasmus Sojmark said Web 3.0 and blockchain “give people control of data, identity, and finances” and will reshape the industry.
“What excites me about Web 3.0 and blockchain is how they let people take back control of things that really matter: data, identity, even finances,” he said. “Instead of relying on centralised platforms, users are starting to own these themselves.”
