Tokyo, September ( وكالة الأنباء السعودية ۔ 20 سبتمبر 2025ء) The delegation watched the start of the women’s marathon final and toured the national stadium to learn about the experience of organizing the championship, which is hosting over 2,000 athletes from more than 200 countries worldwide.
The Saudi delegation met with officials from Tokyo Marathon Foundation and discussed key lessons learned from organizing major international marathons and the potential to use this expertise to develop the annual Riyadh Marathon, which the federation launched in 2022.
Managing Director of the Saudi sports for All Federation Shaima Saleh Al-Husseini commended the constructive talks with Tokyo Marathon officials. She affirmed that this expertise will help advance the federation’s vision to develop and organize the Riyadh Marathon into one of the most prominent international marathons.
