Marc Benioff, CEO and co-founder of San Francisco-based software giant Salesforce, says the company is on pace to deploy one billion artificial intelligence (AI) agents by the end of 2025. “We’re remarkably on track,” Benioff told Bloomberg in a recent interview. “We now have about 5,000 customers deploying this, and it’s amazing how many agents we see getting spawned.”
Known for his bold personality—once nicknamed “The Fresh Prince of Software” and jokingly calling himself “The Taylor Swift of Tech” during the interview—Benioff also revealed that AI is already handling up to 50% of all tasks at Salesforce.
As part of its push into AI, Salesforce reportedly spent around $20 million to license the likeness of Albert Einstein for marketing its latest platform, Agentforce, which enables companies to “build and deploy AI agents at scale.”
