A rumor from DanielRPK reveals that Paul Bettany, best known for his role as Vision in the Avengers franchise, is the top choice to play Voldemort in the Harry Potter reboot. However, it seems the series has yet to officially cast him.
This makes sense. Voldemort is a major role that can bring some much-needed publicity to the series. If HBO waits until the reboot starts airing to announce that Paul Bettany will be playing the big bad, it’ll likely get people to tune into the finale to see him make a small debut. Though whether or not fans will ever see him in-person as the character depends heavily on if the Harry Potter reboot turns out to be a success or not.
