Video hosting platform Rumble, backed by Tether, will soon allow users to tip content creators with cryptocurrency.
The feature has already been tested by lawyer and video creator David Freiheit. A full launch is scheduled for mid-December.
The platform supports Bitcoin, the stablecoin USDT, and XAUT.
Tether holds approximately a 48% stake in Rumble, which is listed on Nasdaq under the ticker RUM. In 2024, the crypto firm invested $775 million in the project, positioning it as a competitor to YouTube.
The stablecoin giant assisted in developing the Bitcoin tipping mechanism.
“The goal is to prove that we can convince 51 million active [Rumble] users per month, mostly Americans, to use stablecoins in the US, the country with the most developed financial system,” said Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino.
According to Bitcoin Treasuries, Rumble also holds 210.8 BTC valued at approximately $23.6 million as part of its crypto reserve strategy.
In December 2025, Tether will release a stablecoin specifically designed for the US market, USAT, which complies with the GENIUS Act requirements.
