Robinhood, a popular investment platform among individual investors in the US and Europe, has announced its latest listing. While the company has shown an interest in cryptocurrencies for some time, its primary focus has been providing easy access to stock investments. In the past weeks, the company has accelerated its listing activities, introducing another altcoin to investors today.
PYTH Coin Listing
Today, Robinhood is listing PYTH Coin. Since the platform hosts less than 100 altcoins, such listings are noteworthy. The new generation investment platform, predominantly servicing individual investors in Europe and the US, conducts these listings frequently. Already traded on mainstream exchanges like Binance, Pyth Network (PYTH) holds a market value of $338 million, with more than half of its supply in circulation. This altcoin, which has major lock unlocks scheduled for May 2026 and 2027, has seen a 79% decline in the past year.
Pyth Network operates in the oracle space and is a competitor to Chainlink. Considering the market growth in the REAL World Asset (RWA) sector, its potential is notable. The platform provides real-time market data to applications, offering price feeds for 380 diverse categories, including ETFs, commodities, currency pairs, and cryptocurrencies. Participants in the network include Binance, OKX, Jane Street, Bybit, and Cboe Global Markets.
Despite no significant price increase following the announcement, Robinhood’s support might feel more impactful in a rising market environment.
