Robinhood stands out in 2025 with aggressive expansion efforts and better-than-expected growth figures. Managing assets worth a total of $326 billion, Robinhood boasts a monthly stock trading volume exceeding $200 billion.
Besides stocks, the platform has taken an interest in cryptocurrencies in recent years, listing approximately 50 altcoins to facilitate easy crypto access for individual U.S. stock customers. With nearly 27 million active traders, Robinhood enables trading for about 70 cryptocurrencies in Europe.
Today’s announcement centers on SKY Coin. The company purchased Bitstamp for $200 million in June 2025 and developed its Arbitrum-based Layer 2 network, aiming to provide tokenized stocks. More listings are expected in the days ahead.
Due to a 700% annual increase in Robinhood’s crypto revenues at the start of 2025, the platform continually lists new altcoins. The recently announced SKY Coin is a new version from the DeFi pioneers we all recognize, MakerDAO.
SKY Coin Price Forecast
With MakerDAO’s strategic move, titled “Endgame,” intended to make the protocol more accessible, scalable, and user-friendly, SKY was born. The new token replaces the former MKR Coin at a ratio of MKR = 24,000 SKY. Meanwhile, USDS is a rebranded version of DAI.
Although there wasn’t significant movement in the SKY Coin price post-announcement, DeFi sector growth is anticipated to accelerate with U.S. crypto legislation support, potentially propelling SKY Coin to new peaks.
The altcoin tested its December 25 peak at $0.06913 and remains above the $0.06507 support level. If the overall market sentiment remains positive, the initial target could be $0.07813, followed by a possible all-time high above $0.09499.
