This is the second webinar as a part of the county’s Housing Market Analysis Study.
On Wednesday evening, the Roanoke County Planning Department will host the second public webinar for the Roanoke County Housing Market Analysis Study. The county’s consultant, RKG Associates, will be presenting demographics and market data on the county’s current housing market conditions.
No pre-registration is needed for the upcoming Zoom webinar.
According to the study website, the county’s objectives in conducting the study are to identify housing gaps and housing needs, engage a group of various stakeholders in the data collection and review, provide necessary data to make recommendations on future developments, review the existing housing program structure, and provide regional and locality-specific housing program recommendations.
During the kick-off webinar in July, Kyle Talente, president of RKG Associates, said the firm collected data from a variety of sources, including the American Community Survey, U.S. Census data, CoStar, Zillow and the Roanoke County Assessment Database.
The first meeting introduced the study and the steps it will be broken into. After the analysis step, there will be a strategy and recommendations piece to address needs and gaps in the market, and lastly, a report, Talente said.
The webinar will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The link to join that webinar is here.
