MANILA, Philippines — The arraignment and pre-trial of former senator Ramon Revilla Jr. and six of his co-accused for malversation was moved to Feb. 9, 2026 to allow more time for the respondents to answer the allegations against them.
In a two-hour hearing by the anti-graft court’s third division, Associate Justice and Chairman Karl Miranda ordered the defense to file its motions by Jan. 26, and the prosecution to file its comments on Jan. 28.
Some of the motions laid out by the defense include Revilla’s appeal for reinvestigation and detention at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center.
Revilla, Department of Public Works and Highways assistant district engineer Brice Hernandez, Engineers Jaypee Mendoza, Arjay Domasig, and Emelita Juat, and private individuals Juanito Mendoza and Christina Pineda are facing malversation over the P92.8 million flood control “ghost project” in Pandi, Bulacan.
