Republic, a prominent global investment platform, has revealed plans to tokenize the equity of Animoca Brands, a leader in the Web3 space, utilizing the Solana blockchain. This initiative aims to broaden investor access while maintaining compliance with regulatory frameworks, according to Republic.
Tokenization of Animoca Brands’ equity is set to leverage Republic’s comprehensive infrastructure, facilitating secondary trading for existing shareholders and offering new opportunities for investors to access Animoca Brands’ equity. The tokens will be minted on the Solana network, which is recognized for its capacity to drive the next evolution of internet capital markets. This development aligns with Republic’s mission to expand global access to private markets while enhancing transparency through blockchain technology.
Currently, Animoca Brands’ shares are not publicly listed, with access primarily available through over-the-counter secondary markets. By implementing blockchain technology, Republic intends to create a more efficient and transparent investment method, thereby broadening accessibility while adhering to necessary regulations.
