The refurbished ice rink is set to open in its initial phase on Monday, September 1, with Basingstoke Bison playing their first home game on September 5.
The rink will be available for all forms of ice sports training, but areas, including the main reception and downstairs server, will be closed for phase two refurbishment, which is expected to be completed ahead of the October half-term.
On the Planet Ice website, Heath Rhodes, Chief Operations Officer for Planet Ice, said: “Seeing figure skaters, synchro teams, and ice hockey back in the building has been a priority since closing last year, and we look forward to welcoming back all the clubs that operated here as well as any new interests. This is an exciting milestone for the community, and we appreciate their patience and support as we complete final preparations.”

Planet Ice ask that customers don’t call or visit the rink in person to make bookings, as staff will not be on-site during construction.
